When I saw the scene captured in this series of pictures, taken along the North Fork of the Flathead river on the west side of Glacier National Park, a thought - or more like an entire story jumped into my head.

I felt like the illustration in color here was a story in and of itself. The coloration of leaves from green to yellow to red looks like fire racing up this mountain. This area has seen lots of forest fires in the not so distant past. I really felt that this was a beautiful illustration by Mother Nature, describing the fire scene.
